La Norma Ski Resort

Fantastic ski area for the whole family!

La Norma is a charming ski resort located in the French Alps, in the village of Villarodin-Bourget. It is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, varied slopes and beautiful natural surroundings. The ski area extends from an altitude of 1350 meters to 2750 meters. Spread across the wooded slopes, you will find a total of 65 kilometers of slopes. Thanks to its location on the northern slope of La Norma (2917m), snow quality is guaranteed, supported by a system of 106 snow cannons. The ski area has 27 groomed slopes, divided into 2 black, 11 red, 7 blue and 7 green. For more experienced skiers and snowboarders, there are numerous off-piste options available. La Norma has a large ski school, offering both group and private lessons in skiing, snowboarding, telemark and carving. Lessons are held throughout the day. Lessons can be booked either in advance or during your stay. In addition, the ski area has 18 elevators, including 1 gondola, 7 chairlifts, 9 drag elevators and one children’s elevator. For those looking for extra challenge, there is a snowpark, a boardercross track and a slalom slope. Thanks to the high altitude of the ski area and the presence of modern snow cannons, La Norma generally enjoys good snow conditions throughout the winter sports season. As a result, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy excellent slopes and powder snow, even well into the spring….

1 ski pass for 2 areas!

The La Norma ski resort has 27 groomed slopes, divided into 2 black, 11 red, 7 blue and 7 green. For more experienced skiers and snowboarders, there are plenty of off-piste options. The La Norma ski pass is a joint ski pass with the Valfréjus ski area and gives you access to a total of 135 km of slopes! The connection between the two ski areas is provided by a free shuttle service.

La Norma is a car-free ski resort built in a circular arc with flats and chalets at the foot or near the ski slopes, everything is within walking distance. Culinary delights can be enjoyed in one of the many restaurants where international specialities are on the menu alongside the famous French cuisine.

  • 35 minutes from La Norma are the gondolas of Orelle, these gondolas take you directly to the ski area of Val Thorens! In the vast Les 3 Vallées ski area, Val Thorens offers the world’s largest ski area with endless possibilities for adventure and fun.
    Val Thorens offers more than 600 kilometers of slopes stretching over varied terrain, suitable for skiers of all levels.
    The ski area has a good mix of wide and rolling blue runs, challenging red runs and steep black runs, as well as some off-piste opportunities for experienced skiers and snowboarders.

La Norma is known as an ideal ski resort for families. Skiing lessons from 3 years

The ski school in La Norma specialises in teaching children. Children as young as 3 years old learn to ski in La Norma. ESF ski instructors give tailored lessons, from beginners to advanced. For the youngest skiers, there are special children’s meadows where they can learn to ski under the supervision of instructors. These ski meadows are safe and closed off from the busier parts of the slopes, allowing children to learn to ski at their leisure.

Childcare and Kidsclub

La Norma has a professional childcare center for children as young as 3 months old. The kids club offer an array of activities, including games, crafts, snow fun and more, supervised by experienced nannies. The kids club and daycare offer flexible care times, parents can choose half-day or full-day care. As a result, truly everyone can enjoy a carefree winter vacation!

Car-free centre

In La Norma you will find several cozy restaurants, bars and stores where guests can relax and enjoy the local cuisine and culture after a day on the slopes. The village also has a wellness center, large playground and toboggan run, so there is plenty to do off-piste.
